About Macau
Chinese and Portuguese are both official languages in Macau, and Cantonese is the most widely spoken. Its architecture, food and traditions reflect centuries of Chinese and Portuguese influence, and the Historic Centre of Macao is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A fitting place, we think, for a workshop about detection that works across languages.
The wave pattern at the bottom of every page is drawn from the Portuguese pavement of Senado Square, rendered in zeros and ones.
